Did this video help you?

Andrew Majors: hey where did u get the attachments? trying to get some

Gregory Cobetto: Where did you find the tactical forend? Trying to build a similar weapon but can't find a forend for the 20 ga!

R Priest: We keep a 870 Youth Model on my wife's side of the bed. Mag extension and Big Dot sight.

A10TOES: hey Vera Turner, I am 64 female and if I can handle this you'll be able to also. Plus this has barely 'no recoil' (KICK) Love mine. "LOCK & LOAD"

miche turner: Good vid, the 20 gauge is a underestimated round!

deusredeemer: also if you are recoil sensitive using a pump even in 20 g isnt the best option .... semi autos kick less way less ..also if the gun fits you right felt recoil is way less ;)... ill never forget the kick from a friends woodrooster 20g double that didnt fit me :P

Isaiah Zavaleta: Deos it shoot slugs?

vera turner: thank you for all the suggestions on the gun..so far I did get a 20 guage and will be getting the suggested a pistol as well..great vdeo for me.

ryan d: because 20 gauge has a bore of about .615", 00 Buckshot is about .33" in diameter, so they will not "stack" evenly into "tiers" in the shell and in a shot cup (and therefore don't pattern well). So you have to stick to number 4 buck, which in a 20 gauge will deliver way less destructive force then a 12 gauge.

STEVE P: does 20 gauge 2-3/4 inch number 4 buckshot have more stopping power than .45 colt and .45 acp?

ryan d: I agree with he statement that the 20 gauge can be a great gun for home defense but when he says that 12 and 20 gauge are close ballistically it couldnt be farther from the truth. If you look at the difference in slugs the 20 gauge will max out at 1 oz, 437grs, 1476fps, and 2120 ft lbs. The 12 gauge can max out at a slug weighing 1 3/8oz, 600 grs, 1502fps, 3014 ft lbs. Also the fact that you can almost never find 00 buck in 20 gauge.

STEVE P: would 20 gauge 2-3/4 inch number 3 buckshot be good for home defense?

pathyskeeter: To keep the advantage of the 20's light weight, keep the extra crap off the gun!!!!

pathyskeeter: Why not point out what Ayoob says about the 12 vs. 20 gauge? "Only the coroner can tell the difference". 1) 20 gauge has sufficient power; 2) 20 gauge guns are lighter than the same gun in 12 ga. Means less weight to carry, faster to deploy. 3) Less recoil, meaning second, 3rd, etc rounds on target faster 4) Carry more rounds for the same weight. The ONLY drawback of the 20 is the lack of accessories and somewhat limited choice in ammo.

M4A108: I have my mossberg 500 but i wonder can i use 20 gauge Slug?

Nate Goodwin: she may be able to use it but can she use it well? with a 20 gauge the only person who will able to tell is the guy down at the county coroners office, and that will be after he counts and measures all of the shot. ill stick with less recoil, more shells and a lighter gun rather than a big bulky 12 gauge (still use the 12 for hunting and target shooting)

hawghead7: Nice video clip. I agree with the 20 gauge for home defense. I have the Maverick 88 with cut down barrel and tacticle stock. I got a shell holder that mounts to the stock but it's in 12 gauge and I'm trying to find the same thing that you have in 20 gauge. Seems they don't do much for 20 gauge yet? Any help would be appreciated.

italianrelic: Slow and boring thumbs down!!

exionem: Great video. I'm interested in getting a 20 gauge shotgun for home defense but in single shot action. Will I be "outgunned" by having a single shot ?

deltronfive000: the answer to your question is more complicated than i care to get into so to keep it simple YES, 20gauge buckshot has more "stopping power" or lethality than any pistol round...even the big .50 ae 1 projectile vs numer4ous projectiles, the more the better

vera turner: I am wanting to get a shot gun for home defense but I don't have much upper arm strength so I need something that I can handle. My sister & I have been attacked in our home before, so believe me when I say I am not afraid to shoot to kill if I need to..we are lucky that my screams scared him off, but not until he broke my sister's leg..do you think I, a 59 year old woman can handle a 20 gage? thanks for a reply, vera

john badcock: Im getting a 20 gauge simply because 12 gauge shotguns are expensive as freak in my state

gadgetstalker2: Nice video. I already have a 12 gauge Mossberg but am considering getting a 20 gauge to keep in a different location of the house for defense. Also, it'll be good for my sister to use.

HitOrMissEtc: You should be fine with a 12ga as far as recoil goes. My 125lb son shoots a 12ga with light bird shot fine. I am bigger then you and I hunt with a 20ga because it is lighter to haul around all day. It is even a short youth model which helps when I have to get through brush. For self defense inside your home I always recommend bird shot. Slugs and 00buck will be flying all through your house and maybe the neighborhood if you ever had to use it.

Tonytone181: @goarmy979 which state do you live in, if you don't mind me asking. Cause I live in Cali and it's pretty much the same here

TideZ28: Try finding a good 20 GA semi auto. It will take even more of the recoil out of the gun and will also give you quicker follow up shots. Also, you can load shells such as 8 shots to give less recoil, then the last few shells you can load buck shot if the assailant doesn't get the message after the first few.

heckathornmike86: what is funny when your a lil kid your start with 410 then you got to 20 then 12 and 10. when you get old you go back to 20 right on

Plymouth roadrunner: You can use a 410 if you wish to.

RJtoon1: I regret selling my Gradpa's brother's Model 1897 in 16 ga patented in 1910 because he carried it in WW1, and the Saskatchewan farm boys are well known for being a force with those pumps. The 20ga is nothing to scoff at, even for fit people who just don't care to have a bruised shoulder the next morning, the 20 has plenty of punch!

dougransley: 1:20 <<

ogarzabello: I know there are many MACHO MEN out there, but the 20 gauge makes more sense b/c when a confrontation comes, maybe: - You’re wounded in combat - You’re sick and weak - You’re a senior citizen - You’re a small woman - Your 10 year old kid is the one forced to use the shotgun

STEVE P: would 20 gauge slugs be good for home defense/personal protection?

James Fite: I have the 20 and its great! Shoot clay targets All day without any problems. For home defense its perfect as well, itll put the intruder down just fine! Would you want a 20 shot at your face, or take one in the chest? Im guessing not!

Jeff Cooper: @ TacyicalLife video ,please e mail me the kind of stock , forend you have on the 20 gauge , want to tac my mossberg 500 youth out like that one assuming yours is a 500 . thanks , Jeff my email : winrescue@gmail.com

jarkoer: I saw a bulk box of 100 count 20 gauge shotgun shells at my Walmart... and it's been sitting there for weeks while the ammo shortage rages on around it.

STEVE P: would you reccomend 20 gauge 2-3/4 inch 24 pellet copper-plated number 4 buckshot for home defense/persnal protecton?

tartredarrow: If you practice with it a lot, you can be ready for anything, However, there is nothing like the peace of mind of having extra shells at the ready, even if you have a double barrel. I would never rely solely on a single shot. Maybe I'd keep one in the shed, but under my bed? A pump.

atlas2k11: whats the music track at the end called? its nice

ProARify: You gave that jug plenty of time to get a bead on you. ;-{)>

CoryCDS: yea that's probably what I would use

MrLinskMinyk: yes.

SimpleDanForever: 20 g is good because its powerful yet its easy enough for a smaller frames person to handle...such as a wife or teenager

Rob Beck: Uploader, could you please tell us the base model and the aftermarket parts that were used? I would very much like to put these parts on my 20. Thanks in advance!

exionem: Right on, thanks.

michellev222: What specific model is this?

STEVE P: could i use a 20 gauge pump shotgun if i'm 6'2-6'3, 195-200 lbs, size 14, etc ?

MrLinskMinyk: During this ammo shortage, 20 shells are about the only thing left. This is an advantage to owning a 20 gauge.

greenmtboy1965: great to see a 20 g vid i am a 20g man dont think the end result on a attacker would end any differently on a man, my federal 3in with 18 pellets i think will do the job make more vids .

STEVE P: would a 20 gauge foster slug have more power than .45 ACP and .357 magnum?

lacker3238: 20 gauge has twice the power of a 44 magnum
