Did this video help you?

Cartoon Planes in the sky: You don't own my Miata bro. JS.

Mike Hamner: Hey Mike and thanks for the video! I recently used the video you made on the Miata antennae fix. I was curious if you know of anyone that makes a rear window that is of glass, not plastic, for the Miata NB? Thanks, Mike H.

Fokko Veenstra: Thanks Mike, great video it's been a lot of help. According to some instructions the rubber lip at the back should be sandwiched between the back and front of the rain rail to make sure the water runs into the rain rail. I noticed you pry out the rubber to go on top of the canvas which I find very difficult to do. Could I use the other method and is ther a downside to it?
BTW: I managed to sew in the plastic window myself with an ordinary sewingmachine, it is possible, use tappered needle and strong thread, large stiches.

Len Smith: Nice job. Where can you buy the replacement window?

Mr33223322: He looks like the statue of liberty

Money Maker: This guy is wearing a platinum crown. I wonder if his wife pulls on his beard with both hands, while they are in the bedroom

Mike MiataKing: Hello, Good luck with your Mission. Mike. The King of Miatas.

George J. Salczenko: Very good. I really feel comfortable tackling this job on my wife's 96. Thanks Mike. Will be doing timing belt and water pump sooner then window with the high price of labor I feel confident I can do the job myself. Only wife has brother with mechanic shop. Will check parts price at your eBay store too. Thanks Mike

kfx700991: King, I have a question for you, its off topic of the windows but im looking to pic up a miata really soon, if you were looking for a mainly fun driving car and not really racing it but just have fun on back roads, would you go for a 1.6 with vlsd or a 1.8 with an open diff. I know the 1.8 lsd's are much stronger but idk if I can afford a 1.8 with one... If you had to choose between them which would you pick. Thanks for your time :)

DbLe20: hello King, great video...been trying to look for a way just to remove apron...quick question...the old plastic window started to dry up and crack; and it ripped the leather where the window is glued on...around how much more will that cost to repair or is there a way i can repair myself thanks

RblLuis: can u buy a new window part?

Mike MiataKing: Hello, Yes, a boat/marine shop can do this job. Truth told Convertible top lingo is like Sail Boat terms. Sails beget land lovers Miata Tops. Mike. The King of Miatas

Antipico: You could also take it to a boat/marine shop, they have similar plastic window and are familiar with attaching and sealing them.

Mike MiataKing: Hello, To sublet the complete job expect to spend $250.00 to $400.00. The sublet in this video, to just install the new plastic in the apron was $150.00. Find a local upholstery or convertible top shop for help with plastic and quote of prices ( even tinted ). The new window is double stitched in and we have not seen a leakage problem. Good Luck, Mike. The KIng of Miatas.

oniftw: Thanks for the vid, i need to do this on my 90 :). What is a reasonable ball park for getting the plastic replaced and is there any special type specification of plastic i should ask for?. does the shop do any kind of waterproofing?. Thanks
