Aikidobear129: If you live in Canada it doesn't really matter how much the parts are as LG
won't sell them to you anyway! LG refuses to even let American appliance
part facilities to ship parts across the border. If I'd have known this I
would have never decided to waste my money on their machines. I purchased
a front load washer and dryer and the dryer broke down in the first 6
months the washer lasted a bit longer but now sounds like a jet airplane
taking off. So if your thinking about buying from LG my advice would be
save your money!
George Erwin: In the video when you are checking for voltage you say there is no voltage
but there is 103 v &130v! What's up with that?
David V. Torongo: Thanks for the post!
stoolie10: I hate it when someone shows a part they are replacing and doesn't give a
cost for the repair. Will the control board exceed the value of the
Paul Wylie: I did all the test and they passed. Washer was still making noise and not
spinning with clothes in it. I tightened the bolt on the back of the
housing that contacts the tub and now the washer works fine.
Becky Wimmer: Tracie Brown, this video might help you
Dave Harrison: For anyone who is a DIY'er, and wants to work on these themselves, just a
word of advice - Gather as much information as possible - model number,
serial number, and even the part number off of any defective part. LG
parts replacement information is incredibly inaccurate! Please be advised.
Paul Wylie: FYI the bolt I am talking about is the one you see in the center of the
housing in the video at 1 min 6 sec.
Kim Neff: Zak,I'm getting a 46 on the spin diagnostics?what could it be?
Alastair Hanson: Excellent. Thanks!
Karen Smith: Hey Zack, got the LE code, tried turning drum each way 4x and drum did move
not problem, but when plugged back in, still nothing. Put in diagnostic
mode and drum did not move, got a 0. Does this mean I need a new hall
sensor, or does the whole control board need to be fixed. Have no problem
doing the hall sensor, but getting into changing out the control board is a
different matter. Thanks! Great video btw!
Sunnyvale877: Crap, I wanted to see the washer spin after that High dollar board was
replaced. This is an un trusted fix... LE is a failure code, no spin. Zack
did not give us the failure code before he zeroed in on the control pcb.
Curt Shaw: A control board failing on an LG? Thats about as common as birds pooping on
cars! It NEVER happens.
allende6: hi i try to fix my LG tromm WM2277HW and I think connect the hoses that
send the soap
and i cant find any video or manual for that
can you help me?
Alice Ridgway: Zach this video was great - really clear! Our LG WM2075SCW shows 0 in
diagnostic mode! (it also makes a whining noise when trying to spin) The
best part was that by putting it in diagnostic mode (thank you for showing
us how) the washer finally drained! I think testing the Ohms and AC is a
little beyond our abilities particularly if it means finding, buying, and
replacing the control panel but seriously - this video was a life saver!
Susan Cogan: ran a diagnostic by pushing the buttons but only shows 3 straight lines
doesn't read anything also motor just hums.
John Kerr: zack great video. I have a wm1812cw that I just had toe replace the drain
pump. After doing so it did two loads of wash fine. Now it keeps coming
up with an ue code and will not spin up before timing out. Have tried
every thing with loads but same thing ue. What would you suggest?
Rami Bekit: Excellent video but please tell us which is the most reliable washing
machine? Panasonic, Miele or LG? I use mine every day (4 kids) and I have
already have enough experience to know that Bosch, Siemens & the Zanussi
clan dont last much more than 4 years before becoming uneconomical to
repair using a trade.
Donna Dixon: Thank you! My husband followed your instructions to diagnose our washer's
problems and reinstall the control board.
kevin romo: Hello Zack, my question is what do I do if the washer doesn't power on at
all? Yes its plugged in to LOL
skoob6969: DUDE,,,, I have those shoes... totally comfortable
Jason Martin: Thank you for a very well done video. My LG has a different problem, but I
found your info to be helpful in getting in to the machine, and for getting
into diagnostics. My machine will not stop filling, even when off or
unplugged from the wall. Checking the inlet filters, they were very dirty
(covered in scale), so my guess is that mineral deposits have blocked the
valve from closing. I have tried to find a video that covers this, to no
avail. Any suggestions other than toss the machine over the balcony and buy
an old school top load Kenmore?? Thanks.
hubertmiranda: Hi Zack. We have an LG front loading machine (WM1832CW). It spins but stops
before you get to the spin/drain cycle and an LE error code appears. Any
ideas on how to fix this issue? Is it the strator? control panel? motor?
anita westbrook: my machine goes through cycles and then stops when it is time to drain and
gives an error message of 0E. what can I do
Zack Nelson: Yes you could check continuity but your not ensuring your windings are ok
when you do that. The only way to be sure your motor is ok is to get the
proper resistance between the windings.
cityboynthestxs: I also replaced the motor sensor. Still doesn't work.
Zack Nelson: I think the IU 02 is your software version and not sure what IN 80 is but
it sounds to me like your control board is the problem! Do you get any
error codes after you put it into the cycle? and does it just stop after
water needs to drain?
Remi Savard: Also is it possible that it could be the rotor position sensor?
bbsadlerb3: good video! Time to see why my washer wont spin I cant even spin the drum
by hand anymore.
Robert Brinton: excellent video. Mine has no issues except an odor issue. while i was
researching info on mine, found your vid. if I ever have this issue, I will
know how to replace the control board. great job dude! Robert
ideakeyk1: I got an error code of LE. Thanks.
Remi Savard: Hey what if i receive to much voltage? 230 volts is what im getting! thanks
for your answer! great video btw!
TheTruth7242: I Liked Your Video...THANKYOU. 8D
Zack Nelson: I would say so! People have their own opinions though!
EurekaRecycler: I think LG is more customer friendly for DIYer's
Shannon Lastowski: Zack, thanks so much! Boy, do I wish you made house calls in my area. I
just washed a heavy jute rug, now it won't drain the water out. I'm going
to try the diagnostic, as a repair person cant come for over a week. THANKS
for this great video!
Zack Nelson: You need to know the correct frequencies. I do not have that information
cityboynthestxs: Hey Zack thanks for the help. yes I did the test mode. The door does lock
automatically on first button push. I also tried pulling the door open.
press 2nd time and no spinning inside at all. It will spin both ways very
easily by hand. I did check the motor connector even the other end to make
sure I was doing the right one. Followed steps just like your video. I do
know how to use the meter too. Would I be able to continuity on the
windings does it work same way?
TheTruth7242: Actualy..Yes it did :) THANKYOU...Zack Nelson 8)
cityboynthestxs: as i am checking the windings at the plug I am not getting 7 or 8 ohms I
get zero. Does that mean my motor is bad. I also do not get any voltage at
this same plug. Must be a bad board. I followed all the steps in your
video. Drum will not spin on test mode. Zero rpms. Any ideas?
ideakeyk1: Great video! What else should I check if the drum only spin one direction?
sangie777: My washer does not drain or goes into the spinning cycle, I tried the
diagnostics mode and it says IU 02 and In 80... if I press start button
again while in diagnostics mode it drains the water and spins very fast...
Can you please tell me what could be causing this problem? I would really
appreciate it. Thanks in advance!
Zack Nelson: Thank you! I hope it helped you out!
Zack Nelson: Putty knife.
Zack Nelson: Thanks Robert I really appreciate it!!
Zack Nelson: Thank you!!
EurekaRecycler: How do you test the Pressure Switch? Thanks
Richard Holloway: LG better than Hotpoint?
