lesley cooper: too much work, you can buy a 50 pack for not much money online, probably cheaper than tin pans, sponges, and foil.
Thomas Kochanczyk: Man good advice, but this video really didn't need to be more than 2 or 3 minutes to explain that.
North Carolina Prepper: I bet you could use a hole punch.
Travis Scofield: Yes rockwool and a different aluminum would be the best. I might try to do it again but with rockwool and a aluminum that would work better for ligjts amd plants
MEGAONE302: Looks like a blue vagina!
eric b: Sweet ill try this maybe, just ordered aerogarden. Definitely going to mod better lights when they burnout and its going in a small closet lined in Mylar with a small fan and led bloom booster:)
Mitch Schaftlein: Only when heated at very high temps. And not this type of aluminum.
Travis Scofield: sorry it took so long i lost the project due to certain circumstances. Roots did become to show through the sponge but i had to make holes in the sponge to help the roots but yes rockwool would be better and i made this video not to produce the best plant but tp just see if i could make the pods from homemade materials just a fun experiment i did. thank you for all your comments. And yes it would be much better to save the plastic cones sanitize them and then cut rockwool into the pods.
Michael Ault: Why not use rockwool? Aluminum isn't a very good idea, I understand that it can be toxic.
Ace Spade: hence the ph rises
keiraboch: Maybe foam spunge would be better?
GardeningGamer: That was a smart move using the aluminum, i'm going to try that myself actually. I don't think that sponge was the best option available though maybe.
Vinnie Mack: No update on this old video... Did it work?
rmeadows67205: P.S. if you type royalempresstrees and add to dot to the end you will find it as well
rmeadows67205: This is an awesome idea! I have been buying from a site that sells the seed pod kits for about 9 bucks. Just search google for royal empress trees and they have a link to a page they sell the kits BUT I think I will try this
William Cash: hehe quick tip.. use the scissors next time when you cut the sponge..
brednwashere: how did it turn out?
Travis Scofield: after one day my pod domes are nice and moist around the pod. So far so good.
