dtcs1958: Would have been a good video but there's a problem and it's a big one. If the pads got that far down that they were grinding on the rotor, you can't put new pads back on damaged rotors, not a good idea. The closeup actually showed that scoring on the rotor's surface. The rotor needs to be either resurfaced or replaced. If you're going to do a job like this, do it the right way. Don't take chances with your brakes folks.
