Dominique Stanback: I have a 2001 Acura Tl it has about 200k miles & I don't know what type of
transmission filter I need to get for my car... when I went for auto zone
it a a screw in kind & another kind if u can please help me because it's
been parked in my yard for a while because people was telling me a need a
new transmission & then someone told me I just might need to drain that oil
out and buy a filter but what type of transmission filter I need for my
Steven Clarke: I'm looking to buy a cl type s. They just replaced the tranny with a
aftermarket one should I worry about the tranny taking a crap again. It has
Bob White: Good video, good instructions - made the filter change on 03 TL much easier.
levi feliciano: How fix acura ABS AND TBS YOU HAVE VIDEO HOW CAN FIX
phuong pham: are you sure that is the transmission filter cause I ask some professional
mechanic and they all said that the transmission is built in side of the
trany and there is only one way to replace it that to take out the trany to
P0nchera90: i have a 2001 Acura Cl type-S. my engine has 225k miles but the tranny was
replaced about 4 years ago, so the tranny is newer than the engine. but
recently i have had some slipping on all gears. The RPM would kick up and
shift really hard into gear…. i thought my transmission would go out by
now. have you ever encounter that before and do you recommend doing the
drain and filter change?
B Ann: External transmission filter is available .
Oreilly auto parts $32.99
Power Torque part # FK-398
Autozone also carries them for $22.99.

Yoshimatics: This is highly recommend if your TL has the outer oil filter and if car
starts slipping on any gear specially on Sports Mode. I did this while back
and took the slipping problem away.
ThatGuyKappa: you or someone should really open up one of these filters and see whats
inside and how they are constructed, do they have a bypass valve? and see
how well they are filtering the atf fluid
Shaun Shaikh: Thanks for the video...was really helpful for my 2003 TLS Aspec. Filter
cost me $50 from Honda after taxes.
Ralph Sanchico: I was watching a video on changing the tranny fluid on my '97 acura CL. But
he didn't show how to replace the filter. I realize it's a 3 yr difference,
but there seems to be some similarities about the filter location. Are the
schematics the same close to?
Wilson Valentin: u THINK THTS WHTS MAKING MY CAR T.L ITS SLIPPING BUT ITS GOES INTO GEAR
GOES TO 4 POPS OFF BK TO 3???
chevyboi26s: Hey buddy just got me a 03 acura tl type s do u know if this one have the
carlorocky: Can you believe the '04 accord v6 has a trans filter inside the trans
housing that can not be serviced! There's no way to get to it unless you
remove the transmission and disassemble the entire thing. How disgusting!
Honda is regressing. Guess that explains the many many transmission
problems with their cars. We live in a disposable society.
Freddy Patriot: thanks for your VIDEO. I have a 2003 TL which had the transmission
replaced in 2011 at 105k miles. I am unclear which years had the internal
and which had the external filter. Please advise if you've learned more
about these TL's.
Indie Guy: I don't think my 2000 TL has a external filter. there's a 13mm bolt to
remove the cooling line where I refilled the transmission fluid. according
to eric the car guy the filter is internal.
carlorocky: Excellent! Thanks for your very timely response. I assume this is a very
similar procedure on 2004 accord v6. Also, I've been wanting to clean
throttle body, this seems like an ideal time to do that. However, it's a
drive by wire system and I hear horror stories about them. Should I
manipulate the throttle plate by hand? Might doing that throw off
calibration to other sensors and require an idle relearn? Thanks again
Indie Guy: Also, do you recommend changing this filter? I just read that the internal
filter catches most of the debris.
bcbcfilm: Does 99 acura tl have a tranny filter? is it on the same spot?
Bri an: this video is very helpful, thank you for posting...
also, i love the Harbor Freight tools lol
Jonathan Vargas: I'm thinking about changing this on my 2000 Acura tl but everywhere I go,
no one has that filter. When I search for the filter using the part number,
it says it's not compatible with this car? Did everything work out for you?
RatchetsAnd Wrenches: Hi, there was about 121K on the car when I replaced the filter.
liljumpman02: would you highly recommend changing this ?
EdDy4RheelZ: I have a question. Do you have to drain out the transmission fluid first
before replacing filter or is it vice versa? Thank you. I have 2003 Acura
TL S-type, so it's a similar second generation Acura TL.
RatchetsAnd Wrenches: I would do drain atf, replace filter, Refill. gl
RatchetsAnd Wrenches: Hey no problem, glad to hear your transmission is feeling better. Cheers
essjlove1: great video , please keet doing Acura tl vidz
910techfan: i have a 2005 acura tl with 143k I have never changed the fluid...what
should I do? leave it alone or start changing?
50chrisgil: Hi , thanks for the video i thought this transmissions had an internal
filter but thanks for ur video i replaced the filter for $20 which i bought
at advance auto parts and it fit right in without leaks now my transmission
shifts smooth, before when you were to take off at low speeds the
transmission would kick, not nomore i guess is because filter was clogged,
again thank you very much for the video . 2001 acura tl
Michael McKinney: what tool did you use to remove the bracket for the transmission filter? do
you happen to have the product#? im having some difficulty removing that
RatchetsAnd Wrenches: I assume you've had it since new and never changed it right? Because Wars
have been fought over this question lol, but I fight on the side of leaving
it alone. GL
Gus Tiwana: Thanks for the video, only one I can find on the net. How many miles on
