peanut head: Ive had a homelite weedeater for about 3 years and when I start it, it
always dies and I have to restart it all the time. I pull start it
correctly and put it on choke but after it starts running, it's on idle and
it turns itself off. I really don't know what is wrong with it and btw I
use 2 cycle oil.
pimpinpenz: @BriggsMower yep
pimpinpenz: @BriggsMower Well if it has good compression, valve seals would most likely
be the problem how old is the engine? Also what brand of oil and weight of
oil are you using?
BriggsMower: @pimpinpenz ok do u think new seals will fix that enging it smokes bad on
start up and some times under load i think its got good compression
BrittanyNicole1990: niiiice :P (i have no speakers prolly already told you. can't hear a thing
so ima leave a stupid comment like it and what not baha )
pimpinpenz: @BriggsMower 10 w 30 go for like a 10 w 40 castrol gtx or gtx high mileage
outdoorsman310: i think you can get that screwdriver at pepboys
05clenharth: You can tune them without cutting in to the carb or buying the tool, get a
pair of cheap needle nose pliers and grind the to pinchers down so they
just fit round the adjuster, grip the screw and it turns, not found a carb
where the pliers dont fit :)
pimpinpenz: @BrittanyNicole1990 hahaha
pimpinpenz: @WhackTheWax i ordered it. this ones a special one like a fully plastic
housing which is why i had to order it. on other weed trimmers like this
homelite i can get the primer bulb like everywhere! but not for my
husqvarna the primer should be in sometimes soon
pimpinpenz: @BriggsMower If your using paypal you would be secure. But they seem pretty
good since mowers4u is more of a 2 cycle engine site.
BriggsMower: @pimpinpenz yes im thinking of buying valve stem seals for a honda gcv160
BriggsMower: @pimpinpenz 7 years old done a ton of work 10w-30 kohler moter oil
Bry4n104: I buy old chainsaw I got a 1970 Poulan 306a(green) from the original Texas
chainsaw massacre and a 1968 craftsman roper(red) and a 1972 McCulluch pro
mac 555(yellow) all are in great shape there my Rasta saws I also collect
vintage engines I got a 1952 Clinton 2.5hp two stroke I want to put on The
right mini bike frame and make a street legal scooter. its a 49cc cast iron
sleeve only downside is it has a rope start. sorry for rambling lmao. what
do you have for bikes?
kan815k: what size bra are you wearing????
BriggsMower: @pimpinpenz ok i will do that and the stem seals
pimpinpenz: Your moms! Fits nice dont it!
pimpinpenz: @flynnlandscaping yeah works good!
BriggsMower: @pimpinpenz ok thanks have u dealed with them befor?
pimpinpenz: @dillyv69 no problem man!
Bry4n104: buy a used one on craigslist that's an older "American" or I should say
more American. his is the newer all made in china ones that have those
stupid spline screws that you have to have a driver or cut slits in them to
tune its much much cheaper and you have a better product
outdoorsman310: did you ever figure out what to do with the injector? or do you just run
both like me
pimpinpenz: @BriggsMower In terms of payments and loosing money. You would be fine.
Even if they didnt ship you your product which i would assume they would.
Paypal can get the money back easily. So you should be in good hands.
outdoorsman310: plug that line off so you dont have an air leak. i have my injector opened
all the way and run 32-1 well its probably closer to 29-1 but whatever
BriggsMower: im thinking about buying something from 2lcstore r they any good like
trustworty and relieble?
BriggsMower: @pimpinpenz ok
WhackTheWax: seems silly that spare part wouldn't be more readily available. I've had
them get cracks in them. But I guess if you can't get the part or change it
yourself, maybe you'll buy a new trimmer?
therccarmad: thank you so much
outdoorsman310: can you lock up the brakes? if so you dont need better brakes also just
freakin give er. cheap fun and that other stuff is a freaking waste of money.
does it move? ok there ya go
outdoorsman310: yeah i may do rings at some point. 6500 miles on original top end you cant
find parts for it though. also dont spend all your money on a bike or on
one thing. you ould crash it or something plus who wants electronic crap
pimpinpenz: Thats pretty awesome man, make a video! I picked up a display model trimmer
today aswell. Will have a video soon.
pimpinpenz: @BriggsMower I havent yet. But most likely some time in the future i will
Bry4n104: that's a good deal stuff made in the 90s is better than stuff made now that
thing will last you a long time
pimpinpenz: @BriggsMower Are you using paypal for your payment choice?
dillyv69: thanks man
pimpinpenz: Check for spark. I have a video on how to check an engine for spark! Check
it out by viewing my channel.
