gig777: I also have a 2004 Silverado. Just received the new blower motor resistor. According to AC Delco website, the part needed is 22807122, which I got from Amazon. It works. All fan speeds are now working properly, but the mounting holes do not match up.....not even close. Needless to say I'm a bit po'd. Did you use the same part no.?

xaploq1: O and be sure to get the correct part for your specific vehicle because there are 4 kinds i believe for daul climate, single climate, heat only and for tahoe/ suburban style gm vehicles it costs me 300 at the dealership and 90 for the quote which was rolled over for parts.
xaploq1: Yes i took it to the dealership because i didnt want to mess it up and the resistor actually has many symptoms when troubleshooting but it was the resistor
